Only about a week until I leave for Paris. Hopefully Blue and Aiden wait on me to get home from Paris and don't have their puppies while I am gone..

Aiden and Blue are pregnant enough to be hungry all the time. It is 10:48 pm and both girls want to eat again
The revival at church tonight was great!

So cool.. One of our puppies was picked to be in an upcoming movie. The movie is called Parker and it will release in Oct. of 2012 and it will star Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham.
Post from cell phone
I am going to try this blogging thing again and see how it goes.... Today I had a major scare with Buddy, my very old Border Collie/Chow mix. I heard a noise and found Buddy trying to walk but repeatedly falling toward his right side and bumping into my cabinets in the kitchen. After I witnessed a few bumps he stopped trying and laid down for a minute. Then I noticed his right leg was pulled up toward his body and he kept looking at it like he was having a muscle crap or something. After a few minutes Buddy seemed to be okay, he was still breathing hard but he was able to move around without so much shaking. I know in my head that Buddy is an old dog but in my heart he is still my sweet puppy.

Puppies coming soon~!

Well not only do we have puppies coming soon but my new building is looking good. Once the work is done I will share photos. The building is 12X32 and so far we have the electic done, sheet rock is in and we will be floating it soon. I am so excited! It is nice to have such a great husband who will spend his days off working all day at home. The building will really come in handy with the Border Collies.

Oh... Lucy is the one pregnant and she is doing wonderful.

Border Collie colors

I have been getting a lot of Border Collie color questions lately and I would like point people to one site. www.bordercolliecolors.com

We have one male dog that is a little confusing as far as color goes. Our boy Trip is a sable gold merle and the problem is he looks like a gold and white dog. The gold color is the ee gene and the ee gene is simply a masking gene so it will mask the "True" color or pattern of hairs. The easiest to understand ee gene would be the Lab. Notice how all labs have either a chocolate or black nose? Well that is because they are genetically a chocolate or black dog with the ee masking gene that has "masked" the true color of the dog. My dog's parents a gold dad and a blue merle mom. My dog was a dark gold pup at birth and but we had no way of knowing if he was a merle nowing without DNA'ing for the merle gene or breeding him. When bred he sired merles in every litter as well as saddle pattern sables too.
Usually with gold's people can tell the dogs true color by looking at the nose. If a gold dog has a chocolate nose he is a chocolate dog, blue nose is a blue dog, black nose is a black dog, lilac nose is a lilac dog. But we are not able to tell patterns on a gold dog so you cannot see merle, brindle or sable on golds.

Trip

Kiera is almost 2 years old now!

This is Kiera playing in the field. This was before her bath but look at her happy self playing in the field. :-)

Getting ready

Okay I think I got it all done! Woo hooo. The dogs have not been to a show since last May and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they just act okay. Not worried about points, just the dogs being good in the ring. Kiera was at the vet yesterday because she swallowed a bone and was gagging. Kiera's throat is scratched so she is making a hacking noise off and on but she does not seem bothered.

I will be going to set up my stuff in the morning and then Sat. we have an early show morning. Since my hubby is offshore it will be me and the kids, Michelle and maybe my mom helping out at the show too.

Hopefully now that Rodney is back to work after his surgery we will be able to make more shows. Fingers crossed!

Finally Friday

Well it is finally friday and I have one week until the dogs show now. :-) I will be taking all four kids to the show so I will need a big dose of good luck. The boy are not going to like getting up early on a Sat. and Sunday to go to the show, so it should be interesting.

Fingers crossed.....

Christmas

We had a good visit this Christmas with my mom, brother, sister-in-law and their new baby girl.  It would have been better if Rodney could have been home but he had to work.   The baby, Makayla, is so adorable.  I told my sister-in-law she could leave the baby here but she wouldn't let me keep her. GRIN

It is hard living so far away from my family.   The 10 hour drive is just so far that loading up the kids and taking the dogs is not something we can do often.  Thankfully my mother does come down to visit us as often as she can.   Now she will need to start bringing my adorable niece too!

Happy Birthday mom

Well today is my wonderful mothers birthday.  My mother was a God send this summer when my husband broke his back and was in the hospital.  I do not know what we would have done if she would not have been able to stay here for over a month.

You know no matter how old you get it is always good to have a great mom!

LOVE YOU MOM!

Busy busy days

Same stuff different day.

Not much happend today.  I got up at about 5:30 to wake up the kids so Austin could go deer hunting with the youth leader at our church.  Austin was so excited he bounced out of bed ready to hit the woods.  Once I had Austin squared away and we were back home it was time to get kids and dogs fed, then off to town to take a pup to the vet.  Thankfully there was nothing I needed from the store.  Yippy!

I am trying to get everything in order before my family are here for Christmas.  I have a lot to do but I did  manage to get most of the house picked up, floors done, dog room done, 4 loads of laundry, crates cleaned, 1 dog needed a bath, worked on a few more last minute tax papers and then did the daily chores.

I need a vacation, but really who has time?

I need a vacation.

Wanted to share these photos.

I am so lucky to meet such great Border Collie owners and one this year did me a huge favor.  Erin is a photographer who got a pup from me and she took family photos for us when she came to get her little guy.  I just love the photos and thank Erin so much for taking them.

These are a few of the photos Erin took.

So if you are up North and needing a good photographer check out

One of those days

Don't know if I was the only one to get the memo but Christmas is ALWAYS the 25th of Dec.

I had to take one of my kids to the Dr. today and then go to Wal-Mart to get his meds. So I venture into the Wal-Mart parkling lot which was packed and people. The cars were zooming in and out like they just had to get that one space near the front door.  Come on people.  After it takes you 10 min. to drive around the parking lot you could have already parked and went inside the dang store.
When I get inside people are dashing around the store just like they were outside.   It was worse than Black Friday in there.  You would think people would have remembered Christmas was coming way before now!  I mean why get your panties in a wad and stomp around the store or run over old ladies because you did not plan ahead?  It is so silly to me.  I undestand there are always those last minute gifts you need to get, but there is no need to race around a store and push your buggy like it is a bumper car.
Christmas is supposed to be a happy time to be with your family and remember the birth of Jesus.  Not get buggy rage in Wal-Mart!

Merry Christmas!

One of those nights

Well it was one of those days and turned into one of those nights.   For some reason my dogs do not care that the kids can sleep in and the dogs are all ready to go outside at 6 am and not a minute later.  The kids and I had a great time at church today, although it would have been better if Rodney was home.

After church we just hung out around the house. The two big boys played outside most of the day the the two younger boys stayed in the house. I tried to get my house cleaned up and ready for my family to be here for Christmas.  I did take breaks from cleaning to play with the kids and the dogs too.

Right now my 4 year old and 7 year old are laying here in my room watching TV because, well I do not really know why, because they both have their own rooms yet they want to take up all the room in my King size bed.  Kids!

Going to give this a try

Well I am going to give this a try.
Not sure how to do the layout, or anything else cool at this point, but give me some time.
